**Job Title: Welder** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Combination Welder with expertise in MIG welding and experience with robotic welding. The role primarily involves custom MIG welding, with occasional TIG welding. The candidate will work with materials such as mild steel and aluminum, fabricating items ranging from custom computer cabinets to large frames for the oil industry. The work is almost exclusively short-run and custom. **Responsibilities** + Perform MIG welding on various projects, including custom computer cabinets and large frames for the oil industry. + Utilize robotic welding techniques as required. + Read and interpret blueprints to execute welding tasks accurately. + Ensure high-quality welding on materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, and sheet metal. + Engage in fit-up welding and Pulse MIG welding as necessary. + Maintain flexibility to assist in various areas within a job shop environment. **Essential Skills** + 1+ years of experience in MIG/TIG welding, specifically with stainless steel and aluminum. + Experience working from blueprints and handling large parts, some up to 12 feet wide. + Ability to adapt to varied tasks in a custom job shop environment. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with fit-up welding and Pulse MIG welding. + Familiarity with working on short-run, custom projects. **Why Work Here?** Join a team where your skills are valued with a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, including medical and dental insurance, a 401K plan, life insurance, and short- and long-term disability coverage. You will be manufacturing products for Thermo King, Delkor, and Beckman-Coulter. The company specializes in custom metal manufacturing, using materials like aluminum, low carbon steel, and various stainless steels, with metal thickness ranging from 3/32 to 1/2 inch. The role requires working with custom blueprints and engaging in both prototyping and precision metal fabrication. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
