Job Title: Welder

Job Description

We are seeking skilled welders to join our team. Multiple shifts are available to accommodate various schedules, including A shift (6 am-4 pm, Monday-Thursday), B shift (4:30 pm-2:30 am, Monday-Thursday), C shift (5 am-5 pm, Friday-Sunday), and D shift (5 pm-5 am, Friday-Sunday).

ResponsibilitiesFollow verbal and written instructions to ensure quality workmanship and safety.Review, read, and understand blueprints, tape measure readings, calculations, and basic shop-related mathematical skills.Obtain precut parts from storage area as needed.Weld component assemblies per specifications, ensuring quality and accuracy of work.Perform routine maintenance and adjustment of welding equipment as needed.Sign or initial your work and record production as required by the area supervisor.Maintain a neat and organized work area, completing daily housekeeping assignments as required by the area supervisor.Operate machinery for the production of pre-welding parts as needed.Clean all welded parts, grind, and de-bur parts prior to release.Essential SkillsExperience with Stick, MIG, Flux Core, or Acetylene Torch welding techniques.Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.Proficiency in reading blueprints and tape measures.Basic shop-related mathematical skills.Experience with routine maintenance and adjustment of welding equipment.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with TIG welding, plasma cutting, grinding, beveling, and cutting torches is beneficial.Experience with aluminum welding, steel MIG, and stainless steel welding.At least 2 years of experience in any of the specified welding techniques is preferred.Why Work Here?

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Troutville, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $28.44/hr.
