**Job Title: Welder (**$18/HR**)** **Job Overview:** + Pay: $18 an hour + Shift: 8:00-5:00 Monday-Friday + Location: Jacksonville, Florida **Job Description** As a Welder Assembler, you will be responsible for the construction of Safe rooms. The role involves welding, primarily using MIG techniques, with occasional TIG welding. You will build wall panels, put up drywall, paint, and use hand and power tools to measure and cut various materials. Approximately 50% of your time will be dedicated to welding, with the remainder spent on panel building and other tasks within the shop. You will work in teams of 4-6 and learn to read construction drawings, with the ability to measure accurately to the 16th of an inch being crucial. **Responsibilities** + Construct Safe rooms by building wall panels and welding. + Perform MIG and occasional TIG welding. + Install drywall and paint as part of the construction process. + Use hand and power tools to measure and cut materials. + Collaborate in teams of 4-6 to complete projects. + Learn to read and work from construction drawings. + Ensure precise measurement using a tape measure down to the 16th of an inch. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in MIG welding and ability to pass a weld test. + Experience in construction, assembly, fabrication, or a shop setting. + Competence in using hand and power tools. + Ability to read a tape measure down to the 16th of an inch. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Familiarity with TIG welding is a plus. + Experience with chop saws, bandsaws, and shears is advantageous. + Comfortable reading tape measures and squares, and cutting products to size. **Why Work Here?** We offer full benefits with three available plans, and the potential for benefits to be 100% employer-paid.
