The Welcome Center Associates supports the operational process, ensuring the packing lines are kept running to help the site achieve targets, ultimately ensuring our customers’ requirements are fully met.
Responsibilities
Works closely with Planners, Taskers, Shift Leaders, and Over theRoad drivers to achieve and maintain high service levelsCoordinate driver, equipment, yard moves, and freightDelegating work to Yard Spotters if or when neededEnsure that all shipping and receiving documents and functions are
completed accurately and on timeFacilitate ease of outbound loading / inbound offloading by
sequencing and determining best loud out / in locationsMaintain all written or electronic logs accurately and on timeComply with international shipping regulationsPrepares and distributes documented correspondence accurately and
timelyInput data as requested / needed on timely basisEnsures all documents are signed and time stamped correctlyMust check in trailers / dispatch trailers per SOPMust be able to use appropriate computer applications for the jobMaintain monthly measurement log by number of shipments, hand
carries, misc., and transport order.Comply with International customs shipping regulations.Forwarding of information to the destination freight forwarder of all
crated and hand carry shipments.Maintaining and ensuring the facilitation of document retention
storage.Prepares and distributes documented correspondence accurately and
timely.Input data as requested on a timely basis.Check data entry and documentation for accuracy.Perform additional duties as assigned by management.May be required to perform other job-related miscellaneous duties
Physical Requirements
Must be capable of working at elevated heights.Must be able to lift 50 lbs repetitively.Must not be unusually sensitive to chemicals (contact lenses not recommended).Vision correctable to 20/20.Must be able to stand on feet for long periods.Standing on a concrete floorWearing proper personal protective equipment (hair net, bump cap, ear plugs, safety shoes, and uniform)Bending, stooping, twisting, turning, standing for extended time periods, reaching, and climbing stairs.Must be able to adapt to temperature and environmental extremes such as hot to cold, dust, dirt, and chemicals.Forklift assignments require OSHA certification and getting on and off frequently.Able to work with minimal supervision.Education and Skills
High School Diploma/GEDStrong verbal and written communication skillsBasic computer skillsPassion to work and learn in a manufacturing environment.1 year of manufacturing experience preferred but not required.What can you expect from Mars?
