Position Overview:
Always Best Care of Fairfax is seeking a compassionate and culturally attuned Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support a new client. This part-time weekend position involves 6-hour shifts between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM, providing personalized, in-home care for a client with mobility challenges. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Farsi and have experience or familiarity with Afghan cuisine, as these are strongly preferred by the client.

Primary Responsibilities:

Assist with ambulation and mobility, including the use of walking aids Provide support with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting Plan and prepare nutritious meals, with a strong preference for authentic Afghan dishes Run errands and provide transportation to appointments or outings using personal vehicle Offer companionship and help maintain the client’s social and mental engagement

Qualifications:

PCA, HHA, or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with an active license in the state of Virginia Experience supporting clients with mobility limitations Fluency in Farsi strongly preferred Familiarity with or ability to cook Afghan cuisine strongly preferred Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle Physically able to assist with transfers and mobility support Compassionate, dependable, and culturally sensitive
