Job Description

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done. Anantara employees always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their colleagues. Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:

PRIME FUNCTION OF THE F&B COORDINATOR:

• To assist the F&B Director/F&B Manager in enabling F&B Department employees to consistently achieve the service and product delivery standards, with a high degree of client care and service at all times.

• Smooth and efficient running of the Food & Beverage Department by ensuring that coordination, administration, communication functions and duties of the department are carried out in a professional, discreet, exact and prompt manner in accordance with company policies.

• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecast and coordinate with the finance department for budgeting requirements

• Handle all incoming and outgoing food and beverage correspondence including guest's feedback promptly and accurately

• Handle all the wedding correspondence

• Ensures that operational equipment is maintained in adequate working order.

• Assists outlet managers with staff training and product knowledge.

• Implements SOP’s with approval of F&B Director/ F&B Manager and controls SOP’s in all F&B outlets.

• Reports all discrepancies noticed during service to the concerned outlet manager and records them for Director of Food & Beverage / Food & Beverage Manager

To comply with the Anantara policies and procedures, ensuring that all services provided achieve the established standards within the agreed budgetary controls.

Planning and Organizing

1. Maintain and co-ordinate as necessary the appointment schedule of the F&B Director /F&B Manager

2. Handles telephone inquiries concerning all F&B Outlets information

3. Handles incoming and outgoing correspondences and memorandums and to respond in writing

4. Monitor weekly duty roster of all F&B Department staff Outlets

5. Organizes F&B office filing, typing, faxes, e-mails, scanning, etc.

6. Create designs for events fliers, menus, promotion materials, special promotions

7. To assist F&B Outlet Managers as and when required according to business need

8. Assist Executive Chef as and when required

9. Carry out any duties as may be requested by the F&B Director/F&B Manager in his absence

Communication

1. Attends daily briefings, departmental communication meetings, training sessions and to ensure that all staff operates in line with the instructions received

2. To ensure and maintain good relations with clients and suppliers

3. Ensure effective communication is kept between the F&B Outlets and Kitchen Department

Personal Development

1. Attends any departmental and hotel training when required

General

1. To adhere to all the hotel standards and procedures at any given time

2. Responsible for a clean and tidy working area (Food and Beverage Office)

3. Be aware of any activities and events operating with in the hotel

4. Assist with monitoring and reordering of stores items, minimizing where possible to avoid over expenditure

5. Reports any maintenance defects to the engineering department

6. Establishes and update a working database of clients

7. Carry out any other administrative or service related tasks as may be assigned

8. To be aware of hotel – internal functions and outlet promotions

QualificationsMinimum 2 years experience in 5 star resort in the Maldives island based. Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration, or a related field.Must have 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role or Wedding / F&B operations management role, preferably with Luxury Brand experience.Excellent communication skills in English.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.Passion for leadership and teamwork.Eye for detail to achieve operational excellence.
