Job Title: Full-Stack Web Application Developer Location: Pearl River, NY (Hybrid; occasional onsite meetings) Hours/Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 am to 5 pm Compensation: $33-43/hour (Depending on qualifications) Type: Contract Overview Vaccines R&D team is seeking a contract full-stack web application developer to support scientific research initiatives in viral and bacterial vaccine programs. This role will focus on building and maintaining web applications, integrating AI/ML tools, and supporting large-scale data science efforts. The position offers exposure to cutting-edge research and the potential for extension or conversion to a full-time role. Responsibilities + Develop and maintain web applications using the Django framework + Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code + Implement application features, enhancements, and bug fixes in a timely manner + Apply industry best practices and coding standards + Integrate AI/ML components into web applications + Collaborate with scientists and data teams to translate research needs into functional applications + Participate in project meetings, present updates, and gather feedback for continuous improvement Qualifications Required: + 2+ years of experience with Django framework + Strong Python programming skills + Experience with SQL and MongoDB + Proficiency in front-end development (HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, Ajax) + Understanding of AI/ML workflows and concepts + Basic knowledge of biological molecules (DNA, RNA, proteins) + Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and task planning + Effective communication skills Preferred: + Portfolio or working example of Django-based web applications + Experience in bioinformatics and data analysis + Strong data visualization skills + Prior hands-on experience with AI/ML integration Benefits System One offers eligible employees health and welfare benefits coverage options, including medical, dental, vision, spending accounts, life insurance, voluntary plans, and participation in a 401(k) plan.
