We have an exciting opportunity for a Web Analytics Analyst to join our central Marketing team based at Vertu House, Gateshead. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about digital data, highly skilled in Google Analytics and Tag Management, and keen to influence online performance across a large retail group.

You’ll work closely with our Digital Marketing and Web Development teams, leading on marketing analytics development, optimisation, and delivery to produce meaningful insights that drive performance improvements.

Key Responsibilities Lead on Google Analytics reporting, insight development, governance and self‑serve support. Manage multiple Google Analytics accounts and profiles, ensuring accurate and actionable data. Maintain and develop Google Tag Manager, including tags, pixels and container governance across all front-end websites. Implement tagging across web properties aligned to KPIs, goals and marketing strategy. Build, develop and maintain data models, automated data processes and insightful dashboards. Provide actionable insights on marketing campaigns, channels and promotions. Support CRO and A/B testing with analytics, recommendations and performance evaluation. Create clear, actionable dashboards for the Digital Marketing and Marketing Leadership teams. Oversee digital marketing briefs into the Insight & Analytics team, ensuring outputs align with objectives. Act as the marketing lead for web data governance, documentation and definition. Recommend website performance improvements and support testing initiatives. Deliver insight and dashboards for third‑party lead generation and support marketplace performance activity. Skills & Experience Required Proven experience working with GA4 to create meaningful marketing insight. Strong working knowledge of Google Tag Manager and web tracking implementation. Experience developing analytical insight for digital marketing teams in an online retail or similar environment. Skilled at summarising complex marketing data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders. Competent in data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Looker Studio). Experience working with Google BigQuery is highly advantageous. Confident working with complex datasets and building dashboards, reports and attribution models. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage expectations and build stakeholder trust. A strong customer‑focused mindset and high digital marketing acumen. What We Offer
