Job Description:
The role is part of the Investment & Research Team (IRT) within Wealth Management Investment Solutions. The Investment & Research team is responsible for proactively enhancing our investment process by coordinating investment research to gain greater efficiency, while fostering an integrated governance environment. Within IRT, the PM Strategy Review & Solutions (PMSRS) team is responsible for qualifying, reviewing, advising, and sharing best practices with J.P. Morgan Advisors (JPMA) Financial Advisors (FAs) and their discretionary strategies within the J.P. Morgan Wealth Management Portfolio Manager (PM) Program. The PM Program is a fee-based, discretionary investment advisory program in which clients have the opportunity to work closely with an FA who can assess their individual needs, time horizon and risk tolerance.
We are seeking a talented, energetic, and highly motivated individual to join the PMSRS team. You will work closely with our growing list of discretionary portfolio managers and stakeholders in performing evaluations of new advisor applications, strategy submissions, and ongoing reviews of discretionary investment strategies within the program.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough evaluations on financial advisors participating in the PM Program Work with financial advisors to understand their investment strategies Schedule and lead review meetings, with a detailed focus on investment process, dispersion analysis, performance, etc. Gather research information on strategies using various analytical tools Prepare and distribute materials for initial and ongoing reviews Maintain follow-up items, draft minutes, and update calendar of reviews Qualify FAs for participation in the PM Program Prepare and present materials for PM PGC Committee which is responsible for reviewing discretionary strategies with key stakeholders, as well as addressing follow-up questions in a timely manner Liaise with Financial Advisors, field management, and internal home office teams in the support and education of the PM Program Create and distribute various monthly BAU reports Conduct UAT testing as required for various projects Become a subject matter expert regarding the PM ProgramQualifications
Experience in a role involving oversight and/or due diligence preferred Understanding of various investment strategies and portfolio construction including equities, fixed income, ETFs, mutual funds, and options Strong organizational skills with an ability to multi-task and prioritize, while maintaining attention to detail Strong initiative, energy, and confidence completing assignments with limited supervision Polished written/verbal communication skills Excellent team player, ability to deal with business partners at all levels High proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint); ability to demonstrate capabilities Previous experience using portfolio analytic tools such as Blackrock Aladdin Wealth, Morningstar Direct and/or Bloomberg is a plus Series 7 & 66, or willingness to obtain within reasonable time of hireJPMorgan Chase & Co., one of the oldest financial institutions, offers innovative financial solutions to millions of consumers, small businesses and many of the world's most prominent corporate, institutional and government clients under the J.P.
