Wealth Delivery Team – Operations Manager (UK Wide)

Mercer is seeking a proactive and results-oriented Operations Manager to lead and oversee the ongoing operational activities within our organisation, with a focus on continuous improvement and strategic transformation. The role holder will work closely with the Wealth Leadership Team to translate strategic objectives into effective operational routines, ensuring consistent performance, responsiveness to evolving business needs, and the successful delivery of transformation initiatives that improve efficiency and service quality.

We will count on you to:

Oversee the day-to-day operational activities, ensuring they align with organisational standards and objectives.

Lead and support process improvement initiatives, including automation and digital solutions, to enhance operational efficiency.

Collaborate with teams across functions to identify opportunities for process optimisation, automation, and operational enhancements.

Develop and implement standard operating procedures, best practices, and change management strategies to facilitate smooth adoption of new operational practices.

Monitor operational performance metrics, analyse data, and report on key indicators to ensure targets are met and improvements are sustained.

Act as a trusted operational and strategic advisor to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations to support decision-making and transformation efforts.

Coordinate with technology, process, and business teams to design, deploy, and maintain scalable operational solutions.

Manage stakeholder engagement and communication to ensure clarity, alignment, and support for operational and transformation activities.

Lead initiatives to enhance operational resilience, risk management, and compliance, supporting both BAU and strategic change.

What you need to have: 

Proven experience in managing operational functions, process improvement, or large-scale transformation initiatives.

Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple ongoing activities.

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Ability to analyse operational and process data and translate insights into actionable improvements.

Experience in implementing process changes, automation, and driving organisational adoption of new practices.
