Description We are looking for an experienced WC & UI Specialist to join our team in Hendersonville, Tennessee. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing payroll compliance, unemployment insurance, and workers' compensation processes. Responsibilities:
• Calculate and process state and federal unemployment insurance taxes with precision and ensure timely filing of related reports and payments.
• Manage unemployment claims, audits, and inquiries, serving as the primary point of contact for these matters.
• Maintain accurate payroll data to support workers’ compensation premium calculations and reporting.
• Collaborate with HR and insurance providers to address and resolve workers’ compensation claims.
• Handle verification of employment requests with confidentiality and accuracy, coordinating closely with HR and management.
• Ensure smooth payroll operations, including timely processing and reconciliation of payroll accounts.
• Maintain detailed and error-free payroll records to support compliance and reporting needs.
• Address discrepancies in payroll accounts and resolve issues efficiently.
• Provide expertise and guidance on payroll-related inquiries from employees, auditors, and other stakeholders.
• Stay updated on federal, state, and local payroll regulations to ensure full compliance. Requirements • Associate’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience in payroll management, demonstrating attention to detail.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll operations, with a focus on unemployment insurance and workers’ compensation.
• Strong knowledge of payroll regulations across federal, state, and local levels.
• Proficiency in using Paylocity and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for payroll-related tasks.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities to maintain accurate records.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with employees and management.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
