Position Overview: Wayfinders Associate Partner – CIO Advisory
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Associate Partner to join our CIO Advisory and Tech Transformation practice. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker and hands-on leader with expertise in technology strategy, IT operating models, digital transformation, M&A, cloud modernization, platform strategy, AI strategy, and technology program rescues. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to build long-term relationships with C-suite executives, effectively engage with multiple levels of customers, define and grow a service offering, mentor other consultants, and successfully deliver high-quality outcomes for executives, and grow the consulting business in various sectors. We are seeking great team players, who are entrepreneurial and passionate about customer success. This position offers a pathway to becoming a Partner.
Key Responsibilities
Client Leadership
•
Serve as a trusted advisor to senior executives (e.g., CIO, CTO, COO) on technology strategy and transformation initiatives.
•
Lead the delivery of complex, multi-disciplinary technology engagements.
•
Drive client satisfaction and develop long-term client relationships.
Practice Development
•
Shape and lead the CIO Advisory growth strategy through market positioning and offering development.
•
Mentor and develop high-performing consulting teams, provide guidance on engagement delivery and professional growth.
•
Develop and nurture collaborative, sustainable, and positive work culture.
•
Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to integrate Technology capabilities within broader digital, sustainability, and operational excellence initiatives.
Business Development
•
Drive business development by creating point of view, proactive proposals, and tailored RFP responses.
•
Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline across priority sectors: automotive, consumer goods, manufacturing, and banking.
•
Develop and nurture external partnership opportunities.
•
Own revenue and profitability targets; monitor performance and adjust strategies to ensure success.
Required Skills & Experience
Consulting & Industry Experience
•
Demonstrate 10+ years of experience in management consulting, with at least 5 years in technology transformation.
•
Drive end-to-end client transformation programs from strategy to large scale implementation.
•
Lead complex M&A IT integrations and separations across full deal lifecycle.
•
Mentor and evaluate consulting teams and prepare them for expanded roles and responsibilities.
•
Develop and review comprehensive client proposals and RFP responses.
Leadership & Influence
•
Demonstrate executive presence and influence senior and C-level client stakeholders.
•
Lead diverse, multi-geography teams with strong people, including team building, coaching, and performance management.
•
Developing and nurture positive, result-oriented culture across engagements.
•
Build relationships with Fortune 500 and $1B - $20B mid-market clients to deepen trust and engagement.
•
Leverage international experience, including the U.S. subsidiaries of Japanese multi-nationals.
Technical & Industry Knowledge
•
Lead IT strategy development across infrastructure, cloud, applications, data, and emerging technologies.
•
Guide clients in adopting leading cloud, AI, and enterprise platforms (GenAI, ERP, Salesforce, ServiceNow, etc.)
•
Orchestrate IT strategy across key technology domains.
•
Apply agile and design thinking best practices to drive innovation and delivery.
•
Shape client strategies by linking technology investment to business growth and operational excellence within the specific industry context of automotive, consumer goods, manufacturing, and financial services sectors.
