GENERAL SUMMARY: 

Wax Cleaner cleans and repairs wax patterns to our current quality standards.  Wax Cleaner also performs minor pattern modifications as needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Clean wax pattern surfaces and repair defects in preparation for the assembly process.Modify or alter wax patterns or pattern features as needed.Clean soluble wax pattern surfaces in preparation for the molding process.Perform general cleaning of assembly area, equipment and tools.Adhere to plant and department safety rules; safely operate all equipment and tools and identify and report safety issues.Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Ability to follow written and verbal instruction.Ability to work in a safe and conscientious manner. Adhere to safety rules.Ability to communicate both orally and in writing to co-workers and supervision.Ability to work with hands and possess good hand eye coordination skills.Ability to work well with limited supervision.Ability to work overtime if needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Good hand eye coordination preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to read, write, stand, stoop and reach to perform daily job functions. Ability to lift and/or maneuver objects weighing up to thirty five pounds. Ability to use hand held tools to scrape, torch and smooth wax. Ability to work in conditions which may include exposure to noise, dust and varying temperatures.
