Position summary: We’re looking for a career-minded Water/Wastewater Engineer who’s ready to grow and take the next step in their career. You’ll be working alongside a group of experienced project managers and engineers on a wide range of water and wastewater projects. Most projects will be located in Kentucky, Tennessee, and Virginia, offering a steady mix of meaningful and impactful work. We’re looking for someone who can jump in, deliver quality engineering work, support the team’s goals, and providing reliable, well-designed solutions for our clients. Immigration sponsorship or support (e.g. H1B, F-1 CPT/OPT/STEM OPT) is not available for this position, except for qualified candidates eligible for the TN visa classification. Essential Functions and Responsibilities + Assist with alternative studies + Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography and other topographical or geologic data to complete a task + Perform design computations Assist in designing projects in accordance with client specifications and guidelines, using design software and drawing tools + Assist with developing the project quantities for construction cost estimate. + Assist in the preparation of engineering documents for advertisement and construction Nonessential Functions and Responsibilities + Perform other related duties as assigned Required Skills + Candidates must have the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-production office environment, build successful team relationships and maintain positive coworker interactions. + Candidates must demonstrate familiarity with hydraulic designs, water and wastewater treatment process design, engineering economics, preparation of specifications and engineering report writing. + The water/wastewater engineer must demonstrate organized practices, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and have flexibility to support time-critical report development and production in order to meet demanding schedules. + Strong computer skills are required: MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, ArcGIS, and MS Project are a plus. Required Experience + 0-5 Years’ Experience + A bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering from an ABET accredited university Working Conditions Work is performed within a general office environment 95% of the time. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment. Field work is required on occasion where work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Some lifting (up to 25 lbs) may be required as needed.
