Join us. **Job Description** **AECOM** is actively seeking a highly motivated **Water Resources Project Manager** to join our team in Austin, Texas on a hybrid work schedule. This role will lead and support surface water projects primarily in Texas, with opportunities to contribute to national initiatives involving water resources planning, infrastructure design, and GIS-based solutions. We’re looking for a dynamic professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates meticulous attention to detail, and brings a strong background in GIS programming and quality assurance. **Key Responsibilities** : + Provide technical leadership and oversight for water resources projects, including large-scale enterprise GIS programs and floodplain modeling/mapping studies. + Identify and pursue new business opportunities; represent AECOM in client meetings and external presentations to promote our services and capabilities. + Lead proposal development and project opportunity evaluations. + Manage contract negotiations with clients and subcontractors; draft and review complex service agreements and addenda. + Ensure compliance with contract terms and monitor subcontractor performance. + Develop and manage project work plans, scopes, schedules, and budgets; ensure adherence to quality, timeline, and financial objectives. + Supervise and mentor technical staff, associate project managers, and design professionals; manage team workload and staffing. + Monitor and report on project financials to technical leadership. + Serve as technical lead on enterprise GIS programs and perform QA/QC reviews of GIS deliverables. + Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership. **Qualifications** **Minimum Requirements:** + Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Computer Science, or a related field. + 8+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of education and experience. **Preferred Qualifications:** + 15+ years of related experience. + 3+ years of project management experience. + GIS Professional (GISP) certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire. + Proficiency in the Esri ArcGIS suite (ArcGIS Server, ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro), with experience using Python API for ArcGIS or ArcPy. + Familiarity with JavaScript and .NET development. + Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. + Ability to clearly convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. + Experience with relational databases and Geodatabase technologies. + Excellent problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills. + Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment. **Additional Information** Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
