The position will be based out of the Waterloo, London, or Hamilton office, but may require travel to other regional Stantec offices. **Your Key Responsibilities** + Undertaking the detailed studies, modeling and design tasks associated with surface water works in support of a wide variety of projects in both the private and public sectors. Assignments will include stormwater management for a variety of development projects, Subwatershed Plans/Master Drainage Studies, floodplain delineation/management analyses, highway drainage design, erosion control studies, etc. + Delegation and coordination of technical work to appropriate staff members to manage workload within the local group of 20 surface water professionals + Mentorship of junior staff across a range of technical and professional development levels + Coordination with engineers, technical staff and/or team members in various disciplines to ensure that the projects’ needs are met in a timely and effective manner + Serving as a technical expert during liaison with clients, municipal/agency staff, and other stakeholders + Researching issues related to surface water resources that impact individual projects + Writing/reviewing reports and design briefs to document analyses + Taking responsibility for the quality of written, technical and graphic work in a senior review (QA/QC) role + Managing surface water related projects and/or tasks, ensuring completion of work on-time and on-budget + Lead and/or contribute to project proposals and budgets + This position includes exposure to a variety of projects and sectors, so experience with different sectors and clients would be considered an asset.
