This position requires water quality, biological, and other environmental field monitoring. In addition, this position will investigate innovative approaches to maintain environmental compliance in and around generation facilities, using biological, limnological, ecological, and water treatment techniques. Responsibilities include following Field Sampling and Measurement Organization (FSMO) accredited procedures to collect data in support of 316(a), 316(b), Effluent Limit Guidelines (ELG), Coal Combustion Residual (CCR), and other applicable state or federal mandates.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Science (environmental science, chemistry, biology, etc.)Basic knowledge of environmental chemistry, limnology, fisheries, wildlife, aquatic life and/or plant lifeAbility to work safely in a physically demanding environment (hot/cold, rough terrain, in and around water, etc.Ability to work a flexible schedule, including non-traditional hours and overnight travelAbility to use environmental monitoring equipment to collect legally defensible dataAbility to follow detailed procedures and clearly communicate deviations real-timeAbility to drive large vehicles (3/4 ton) and tow utility trailersAbility to trailer, launch, and operate boatsExcellent computer skills, including the use of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)Ability to work in a team environment, sharing the workload with others to achieve common goalsAbility to synthesize technical information real-time and clearly communicate this information to team members and managementPay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr.
