We’re looking for a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to upholding the highest standards of quality and safety. As a Waste Plant Operator, you'll be responsible to manage our waste water treatment processes. Additional Voluntary Benefits: + 401k Savings Plan with employer match after 1 year + Critical Illness, Hospital Indemnity and Accident Insurance + Pet Insurance + Financial/Loan Coaching + Identity Theft Protection + Short- and Long-Term Disability and + Life Insurance Options. + Paid time off and holiday pay. + Access to your pay in advance with PayActiv. + Career advancement opportunities within the organization. + Receive, store, and issue plant supplies and materials + Maintain accurate inventory records and report discrepancies + Ensure supply room organization and cleanliness + Rotate stock to ensure the oldest items are used first + Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory + Collaborate with production teams to ensure supply needs are met + Perform tasks safely and follow all company protocols + Receive, store, and issue plant supplies and materials **Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities** + Operate waste water treatment equipment and systems + Monitor treatment processes, make adjustments as needed + Collect and analyze water samples + Troubleshoot issues promptly to ensure compliance + Collaborate with maintenance teams for repairs + Maintain accurate records and reports **Minimum Education** + High School Diploma or GED + Must obtain an active Class III or IV-A license from the State of Kentucky **Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements** When in a plant environment: + Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces + May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity + Ability to move within OFFAL area, up and down steps and work in a wet environment + May handle products from 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit + May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 dB to 110 db + May be exposed to dust, feathers and all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility + You must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company + Occasional exposure to carbon dioxide vapors 10ppm and chlorine less than 20 ppm + Able to stand for several hours + Work may include lifting (up to 50 lbs.), reaching, bending, pushing boxes on conveyor assembly _Perdue Farms Inc. is an Equal Opportunity employer.
