Job Description
We are seeking a full-time Plant Operator for an operations project in Bushy Park, SC. The Plant Operator performs a wide range of mid-complex to complex tasks encompassing field assignments based on client requirements.
Responsibilities
Perform daily operations and maintenance of the treatment plant.Complete minor routine maintenance of equipment.Demonstrate good interpersonal skills.Apply a working knowledge of fundamental principles, terminology, and methodology in carrying out assignments.Operate facilities with computer or PLC controls.Monitor, regulate, and adjust chlorinators, chemical feed pumps, and other process equipment.Collect samples and perform routine in-lab tests as required.Maintain a log of operations and maintenance activities and related records.Operate the system to maintain compliance with permit requirements.Wash clarifiers, dissolved air flotation systems, contact basins, operate sludge handling equipment, and other process unit equipment as required.Possess good knowledge of the practices used and the equipment required in the O&M of industrial facilities and the ability to make routine laboratory and field tests for control of plant operations.Possibly operate a variety of equipment including forklift, aerial or scissor lifts, generator, compressors, pumps, etc.Participate actively in creating a safety culture at the job site.Adhere to the policies and standards set forth in the Firm’s Project Delivery Manual (PDM), Employee Manual, and Corporate Health & Safety Manual.Essential Skills
High School Diploma or Vocational training or equivalent.Applicable health & safety training.Typically, 5+ years of experience.Knowledge of Microsoft Office.Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.Ability to perform basic control laboratory testing and understanding and applying results.Comfortable with computers and computer-controlled equipment, capable of learning new operating, maintenance, analytical, or computer skills.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Wastewater operator licenses are not required but preferred.Having good record-keeping skills.Experience in wastewater, wastewater treatment, mechanical operations, maintenance repair, operation, repair, pump assembly, valves, and water systems.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Bushy Park is a multi-divisional industrial complex located in Goose Creek, South Carolina (near Charleston). The site is home to several different chemical manufacturing companies. The central wastewater treatment plant is owned by DCL and is the largest tenant at Bushy Park, occupying nearly half of the production buildings at the site. DCL is the single largest contributor to flow and organic loading on the wastewater treatment plant
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Goose Creek, SC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $45.00/hr.
