Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Wastewater Treatment Operator to join our team. You will play a crucial role in the safe operation of equipment and the maintenance of wastewater systems, ensuring the efficient processing of materials. Your work will contribute to environmental sustainability and community health.

ResponsibilitiesOperate equipment safely at all times.Perform loading and unloading tasks.Clean bio-solids off equipment before leaving the field site or landfill.Conduct daily inspections and perform preventative maintenance on equipment.Perform shop clean-up, maintenance, and equipment/tools setup.Maintain operation records and ensure data accuracy.Essential SkillsMechanical aptitude and ability to operate heavy equipment.Experience in wastewater or water treatment operations.Proficiency in machine operation and general production tasks.2-4 years’ experience as an operator in wastewater, steam, or process plant operations, or equivalent.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent.Valid Driver’s License.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.Basic math skills.Ability to efficiently operate and use a smartphone.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Enjoy a dynamic work schedule of night shifts from 6 pm to 6 am with a 2 on 3 off, 3 on 2 off rotation. Engage in physical activities such as sitting, climbing, balancing, reaching, standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs. The facility is focused on maximizing sustainability and has transformed Philadelphia’s environmental footprint since its operation in 2012.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position based out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr.
