Wastewater Treatment Operator (1st Shift)

Position Summary

The purpose of this position is to oversee the operations of the facility's wastewater treatment system and supporting infrastructure.

Role and Responsibilities

First Shift

• Monitor control systems to ensure functional operation of the treatment tank and supporting infrastructure. 
• Collect samples to track and control water quality as required by regulatory standards.
• Administer and control chemical applications for treatment functionality as required by regulatory standards.
• Perform routine maintenance on tanks and treatment system infrastructure.
• Track and prepare wastewater treatment key performance indicators (KPI) as required by HQ and local leadership.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

• Education: Minimum Bachelor of Science (BS) in Environmental or Civil Engineering or related science-based major. 
• Experience: Minimum of two (2) years required/five (5) years preferred of work experience in an industrial setting performing wastewater system operations.
• License: Active Level D physical/chemical wastewater operator license.
• Knowledge: State and federal environmental (specifically wastewater) regulations, Microsoft Office applications,
• Skills:  All employees for all positions must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 35 lbs. 
• Physical requirement: Indoor and outdoor walking.
