Job DescriptionWe are currently recruiting a skilled Wastewater Process Engineer to be based in the Romania Enterprise Capabilities Office in Bucharest. This position offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement, combining both in-office and remote working schedules, as outlined below.
The successful candidate will join our team and contribute to the planning, design, and optimization of wastewater treatment systems. In this role, you will focus on developing and improving wastewater process solutions, ensuring regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and sustainable environmental performance.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in wastewater, environmental, chemical, or process engineering, with proven experience in wastewater treatment plant design and process calculations.
Here is what you will do:
1. Wastewater Treatment
Develop in-depth knowledge of wastewater treatment processes (preliminary, primary, secondary, and tertiary treatment).Perform process calculations for the sizing and design of wastewater treatment plants and associated units.Support process selection, optimization, and troubleshooting activities.Ensure compliance with applicable environmental regulations and discharge standards.2. General Responsibilities
Prepare technical reports, design documentation, and calculation notes.Collaborate with multidisciplinary internal teams and external clients.Apply scientific and engineering principles to solve technical challenges.Collect, interpret, and analyze operational and design data.Compare findings with applicable standards and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.Participate in QA/QC review of drawings, technical documents, and calculations.QualificationsMinimum Requirements
BA/BS in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum 7 years of experience in wastewater treatment plant design and process engineering.Experience in process calculations and sizing of wastewater treatment units.Experience in proposal preparation and client coordination is considered an asset.Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and environmental regulations.Strong communication skills (technical writing, presentations, and verbal communication).Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD.Knowledge of BioWin software is an advantage.Skills and Attributes
