Job Title: Wastewater Engineer Job Description Engineer or Project Manager for a diverse range of municipal water and wastewater projects. The role involves leveraging expertise in water/wastewater engineering to handle tasks such as water system conveyance design, storage, sanitary conveyance design, hydraulic modeling, and preparation of feasibility studies and master plans. Responsibilities + Work in a highly flexible, team-oriented environment and contribute to the growth of the Water and Environmental Business Unit in Utah. + Plan, design, and lead a wide range of municipal water/wastewater systems and facilities. + Serve as a Project Manager or engineer of record, collaborating with a team of support professionals, including drafters, EITs, GIS technicians, and technical editors. + Assist in business development efforts, including engagement in professional organizations and visibility efforts. + Prepare proposals and coordinate with regulatory agencies for project permitting. Essential Skills + Civil engineering expertise with a focus on wastewater and water resources. + Experience in design, water main, and sanitary sewer projects. + Project management skills. + BS in Civil Engineering. + Registered Professional Engineer in UT. + 10+ years of experience as a municipal utilities design engineer. + Knowledge of local, state, and federal design standards. + Strong written and verbal communication skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Proficiency in AutoCAD (GIS is a plus but not required). + Technical memorandum and report writing skills. + Experience working with water conservation districts in Utah, local public work departments, secondary water companies, and other regulatory agencies. Work Environment Enjoy a flexible 9/80 work schedule, with every other Friday off, working in the office Monday through Friday.
