Job Title: Waste Operative

Shift Pattern:  Monday- Friday (14:00 to 22:00, 22.00pm – 06.00am)
Essential Requirement: Full UK driving license is required

The primary objective of this role is to work effectively within the Transport Team, ensuring all duties are carried out efficiently and in compliance with contractual requirements, company health and safety standards, and quality procedures. The role requires successful completion of all training specific to the position. Key responsibilities include maintaining all equipment in a clean, safe, and functional condition, ensuring compliance with PAT testing and other safety checks. The job holder must have a thorough understanding of the designated cleaning processes, work specifications, and allocated time for each task, completing all daily, weekly, and periodic duties as directed by management.

A full working knowledge of cleaning equipment, materials, and approved chemicals is essential, along with adherence to health and safety legislation and site policies. Accurate logging in and out of shifts is required to reflect contracted hours. Employees must comply with client and airport safety practices, minimize material waste, and report maintenance defects promptly. High standards of personal hygiene and appearance are mandatory, including appropriate footwear, minimal jewelry, and wearing issued PPE. 

The role also involves observing fire and safety regulations, addressing complaints within scope, and performing miscellaneous cleaning duties as instructed. Tasks include office cleaning, litter picking in external areas such as car parks, gritting pathways using hand gritters, jet washing, gum removal, and operating vehicles like 4x4 L200 and Transit Tipper, for which a full UK driving license is required. Full training and uniform will be provided.
