Warranty Specialist
Description • Adjudicate warranty cases based on established criteria and be able to identify customer induced damage versus product defects. • Analyze product warranty operational data, failure reports, warranty claims, and associated sales activities as needed to identify developing trends where corrective actions may be needed. • Develop standard department databases and reporting dashboards to provide appropriate visibility to warranty issues affecting MRAS products and expected costs as solutions are implemented. • Maintain a “Top-10” issues type of tracker for assigned product lines. • Work across the enterprise (programs, finance, engineering sourcing etc.) to monitor and report on status of corrective action plans and associated financial recovery efforts from appropriate suppliers. • Track progress on product improvement campaigns and associated costs. • Monitor and report on warranty claim monthly metric reports. Maintain historical data. • Collaborate with Program Managers and Buyers to identify warrantable repairs and improve warranty coverage processes and policies as needed to achieve business objectives. • Support status briefs for senior management • Work on special issues, projects/presentations. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years of warranty analysis or related field experience or HS Diploma with 8-10 years of warranty analysis or related field. • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Advanced Excel skills. • Knowledge of business processes. Experience with, SAP or similar system is desired. Experience Level Intermediate Level Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
