About The Role
As a Warranty Consultant, you are responsible for providing warranty consultation and technical support to SPM Service Centers. This position will be embedded in the Midland Service Center to facilitate reliability data gathering and failure investigations. Incumbent will operate a standard protocol for investigations and communications, both internally and externally. You will use and develop new skills to promote career growth.

Coordinating warranty information and establishing policy settlements.Perform product inspections documenting the state of the vital components in all conditions.Perform failure analysis (failure mode and root cause) on early hour failures using root cause tools, such as 5 Why’s and Ishikawa diagrams.Communicate with SPM stakeholders and customers on product investigations through service reports and customer presentations.Communicate current publications and campaigns to key users of informationEvaluating and adjudicating warranty claims.Additional Requirements:

Data Gathering & Analysis: Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment.Service Excellence: Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques; ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner.Consulting: Knowledge of techniques, roles, and responsibilities in providing technical or business guidance to clients, both internal and external; ability to apply consulting knowledge appropriately.Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.Technical Excellence: Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.Summary Pay Range:
$95,640.00 - $143,520.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
