Our Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics and Global Services supporting Caterpillar dealers and customers. Our teams work together in critical areas that leverage digital capabilities, technology and operational excellence.

The Global Warranty Team (within Global Service) is responsible for adjudicating warranty claims, managing compliance, and adherence to policies. As the Warranty Claims Manager, you will lead a team that oversees the end-to-end process for adjudicating warranty claims. You will also play a key role in shaping the requirements and implementation of the new warranty process transformation program, which aims to take Caterpillar and dealer warranty operations to a whole new level of efficiency and simplicity.

What You Will Do:

• Foster an organizational climate that encourages continuous improvement, collaboration, excitement, commitment, and a sense of urgency toward business success.
• Lead, develop, and coach a team of warranty analysts who review claims spanning service letters, standard warranty, and extended coverages for completeness and accuracy, and make settlement decisions.
• Manage an outsourced claims operation governed by a Statement of Work, providing day-to-day oversight and ensuring adherence to Service Level Agreements.
• Optimize the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the warranty claim process through standard work, operational metrics, and business partner feedback. Ensure claims are complete, accurate, within policy, and make settlement decisions.
• Collaborate with various teams across Caterpillar (Product Groups, Industry teams, Strategic Procurement, Global Quality, Cat Insurance, Treasury, Corporate Accounting, Goodwill, Cat IT, Cat Digital, and more) to resolve complex settlement decisions and drive continuous process improvement.
• Your team will also lead dealer training for warranty processes, coverages, policies, etc.
• Partner with the warranty process transformation team to identify opportunities for creating efficiency and simplicity in warranty claim processing.

               


What You Have (Basic Requirements):
• Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree

• Data Gathering & Analysis: Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment.

• Service Excellence: Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques; ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner.

• Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

• Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
 

What Will Set You Apart (Top Candidates Will Have):

• 5+ years of relevant work experience
• Strong skills in team leadership, people development, organization process management, collaboration, change management, attention to detail, and data analytics/interpretation
• Experience working with Caterpillar dealers, product groups, or industry teams, and a deep understanding of dealer service operations and product repairs
• In-depth knowledge of Caterpillar warranty policies and processes
• Demonstrated experience with data analysis tools, techniques, and processes to reach effective decisions
• Strong financial and business acumen to analyze, interpret, and make strategic recommendations to drive continuous improvement within the warranty operation
• Proven ability to lead challenging projects, investigate complex issues, and recommend solutions with high autonomy

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Summary Pay Range:

$156,000.00 - $234,000.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
