Employment Type: Temp to Hire - 6 months | On-site
Pay: $17.25/Hourly (Weekly pay)
Shift: Monday – Friday 11pm to 7am

Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician with hands-on experience in the repair and upkeep of creels and warpers used in textile manufacturing. This role will be responsible to operate, tread, load yarn, tie in creels, polish and off beams. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, a proactive approach to preventative maintenance, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine and emergency maintenance on creels, warpers, and related textile machinery.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and implement effective repairs.
Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance with minimal disruption.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and equipment status.
Recommend improvements to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training preferred.
Proven experience in operating, maintaining and repairing creels and warpers.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram record data or schedule form.
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, pneumatics, and basic electrical components.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime as needed.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in a textile manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with lean maintenance practices.
Basic computer skills for logging maintenance activities.
Valid forklift certification or demonstrated experience.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent hand, finger, and wrist movement to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
Requires standing (80%) and walking (20%).
The employee frequently is required to talk, listen/use hearing, stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch, and/or use repetitive hand motions.
Occasionally required to climb or balance.
Occasionally lift 50 pounds.
Pay Details: $17.25 per hour
