Employment Type: Temp to Hire - 6 months | On-site

Pay: $17.25/Hourly (Weekly pay)

Shift: Monday – Friday 11pm to 7am
Industry/Department: Automotive Manufacturing/Knitting

Job Summary:

The Warp Preparation Technician is responsible for the safe and efficient removal and installation of warp beams on weaving machines, warpers, and slashers. This role ensures continuous production by preparing looms for operation and assisting in the tying-in process of new warp yarns.

Key Responsibilities:

Remove empty warp beams from looms and transport them to staging area.

Install full warp beams onto looms using hand trucks or beam-lifting equipment.

Assist in the tying-in process by aligning harness assemblies and warp ends.

Remove, weigh and record the waste yarn.

Load/unload knitting machines.

Inspect warp beams for defects or inconsistencies before installation.

Lubricate machine parts as required.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of beam storage and loom areas.

Communicate with loom technicians and operators to coordinate beam changes.

Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all times.

Record beam changes and production data as required.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience in textile manufacturing or weaving operations is a plus.

Ability to lift and maneuver heavy beams (up to 50 lbs.) safely.

Ability to operate an overhead bridge crane or gantry crane.

Basic mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, or overtime as needed.

Physical Requirements:

Standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.

Manual handling of warp beams and equipment.

Exposure to noise, dust, and textile fibers.



Pay Details: $17.25 per hour
