Job Description
The Supply Specialist plays a crucial role in the Materials Management department, supporting clinical activities within the medical complex. This role involves determining replenishment needs, locating and selecting medical supplies, and documenting their issue and distribution. The position also requires documenting the receipt and distribution of supplies and equipment.
We will be hosting a career fair for this position on Friday, February 6th from 9am-1pm at the YMCA in Cane Bay (165 Cane Bay Blvd Summerville, SC 29486). Come out and see us!
Responsibilities
Determine replenishment requirements for medical supplies.Locate, select, and document the issue of medical supplies.Distribute medical supplies and equipment within the medical complex.Document the receipt and distribution of supplies and equipment.Perform inventory, material handling, picking, packing, and scanning tasks.Handle shipping and receiving duties, including order picking and packaging.Utilize RF scanners, SAP, and logistics software for inventory management.Perform labeling and warehouse inventory tasks.Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.Perform recordkeeping tasks, shipping/receiving, physical inventories, and quality control checks.Essential Skills
High school graduate (or GED equivalent) with one year of related work experience.Ability to work rotating weekends, shifts, and holidays.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy.Ability to stand on feet all day and physically pick orders and stock shipments.Experience with material handling and logistics.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience in logistics, preferably within healthcare.Experience with shipping and receiving.Ability to use a scan gun for inventory management.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The position is based in a clean, climate-controlled hospital environment. The team operates in a collaborative and supportive atmosphere, with a dress code of scrubs or office casual with sneakers. Shift times include Monday to Friday with rotating weekends and some holidays, offering flexibility with hours such as 3am-11:30am, 5am-1:30pm, and 12pm-8:30pm.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charleston, SC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $15.00 - $16.00/hr.
