Job Title: Warehouse Worker

Job Description

As a Warehouse Worker, you will be responsible for unloading, loading, and moving products and materials by hand or using equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. You will ensure the orderly staging and distribution of products by pulling parts from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies where needed, and staging and loading finished products for distribution. Maintaining inventory through proper identification, labeling, and storage of products is essential, as well as reporting any shortages or damages. You will also conduct daily and annual inventory counts and perform accessory kitting as required. Safety is a priority, and you will be expected to operate material handling equipment safely and maintain equipment by completing pre-inspections. You will work collaboratively with other departments to ensure daily procedures are completed efficiently.

Work Environment

Work in a small team on the raw material side of the warehouse. The hours are from 7 AM to 3:30 PM with a one-hour unpaid break, totaling 37.5 hours per week. This role requires working in a medium/heavy duty environment and adhering to safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Unload, load, and move products and materials using forklifts and pallet jacks.Ensure orderly staging and distribution of products.Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and storing products correctly.Report inventory shortages or damages.Perform accessory kitting and conduct daily and annual inventory cycle counts.Maintain material handling equipment through pre-inspections.Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery safely.Keep warehouse areas clean and adhere to workplace safety regulations.Collaborate with other departments to ensure daily procedures are completed.

Essential Skills

At least 6 months of reach experience using stand-up equipment.Class 2 forklift certification.Ability to conduct inventory counts.Proficiency with RF scanners.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Over 2 years of reach experience is preferred.Experience working in a heavy environment with raw materials is an asset.Familiarity with RF scanners, specifically Rite Scan.Experience with electric stand-up reach forklifts.Must have a secondary school diploma or equivalent.Excellent oral communication skills and attention to detail.Understanding of job site safety requirements.Experience in a medium/heavy duty environment is preferred.Ability to lift/carry up to 75 lbs and stand for prolonged periods.Current forklift license with electric stand-up reach experience.Valid BC driver’s license.Knowledge of Rite Scan or equivalent is an asset.
