Job Description
As a warehouse worker, you will be responsible for packaging sample boards that include ceiling tiles, cabinets, flooring, and backsplashes for remodeling purposes. These boards typically weigh about 15 lbs. Your duties will include receiving the boards from the assembler, wrapping them in plastic, packing them into boxes, and preparing pallets for shipment. The role offers a structured schedule with working hours from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.
ResponsibilitiesPackage sample boards consisting of ceiling tiles, cabinets, flooring, and backsplashes.Receive sample boards from the assembler and wrap them in plastic.Pack wrapped boards into boxes and prepare pallets for shipping.Use hand tools and power tools as required.Operate forklifts for moving materials.Use RF scanners for inventory management.Ensure safety standards are met while handling materials.Essential SkillsHigh school diploma required.At least 6 months of previous manufacturing experience.Ability to read and interpret basic English for work orders.Experience in using hand and power tools.Familiarity with RF scanners and packaging techniques.Additional Skills & QualificationsBackground in construction is a plus.Experience in assembling display models and pallets.Ability to converse effectively with the lead to set up machines and package projects.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
This position is based in a warehouse setting that is not air-conditioned, which means it can get warm. Employees are allowed to wear shorts, and steel-toe shoes are not required. The company is planning to relocate to a newly remodeled facility in November. The work involves assembling sample boards for shipment and loading them into crates. The role includes a 10-minute paid morning break and a half-hour unpaid lunch break.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
