Warehouse Worker
**Description** Summary: Responsible for executing, monitoring, and training inventory best practices and standard operating procedures for the entire store, including both front end and pharmacy. Supports pharmacy inventory management activities, including receiving, counting, ordering, and facilitating returns. Champions On Shelf Availability and is responsible for receiving, counting, pricing, returns, and all in-store inventory processes. Validates and ensures accuracy of planograms. Responsible for reviewing and coordinating the proper use of reports and system applications, which have an impact on the accuracy of front end and pharmacy on-hand balances and pricing. Responsible for executing and maintaining front end and pharmacy asset protection techniques, and filing claims for warehouse and vendor overages (merchandise received, but not billed), shortages (merchandise billed, but not received), order errors or damaged goods including prescription drugs. In designated stores, as required, opens and closes the store in the absence of store management, including all required systems start-ups, required cash handling and cashier responsibilities, and ensuring the floor and stock room are ready for the business day. Job Responsibilities: * Receive and count stock items, and record data manually or using computer. * Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards. * Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors. * Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas. * Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment . * Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations. * Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment. * Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors. * Provide assistance or direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers. * Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities. Skills: * Verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability. * Team player and detail oriented. * Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions. Education/Experience: * High school diploma or GED required. * At least 1 year of experience as an Inventory Specialist or similar role.
