Job Description

Responsibilities: 

Immediate supervision of forklift/material handler operators(external contractors)Operate a forklift as a working Team leaderAssign personnel daily work schedule the day prior on appropriate formAbel to lift and carry packages that are not palletizedResponsible for the Health and welfare of your teamTrain your personnel on the appropriate work instructionsEnsure material is received and put away on a timely manner.Ensure material is picked and labeled before shipping window startsEnsure material is shipped on a timely manner.Ensure documents are turned into shipping office on timeReport any discrepancies to shipping office coordinatorReport Damage material to the Lrd Quality tech and fill out appropriate formsEnsure personnel accounts are setup for SAPAssign personnel for 6S duties to ensure a safe work placeDevelop and implement Lean Processes within the operationConduct process audits to ensure employees are following the correct process so target Goals are metParticipate in the GEMBA, Waste walks when requiredDevelop CIP projects to enhance the operationInventory cycle counts are conducted regularlyWork collaboratively with others as a team player 

Other Workplace Considerations: 

Daily use of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of numbers including decimals and fractions; simple use of formulas, charts, tables, schedules, checking of reports, forms, records, and comparable data, where interpretation is required.Requires continuous attention to detail, usually repetitive work or diversified operations requiring constant alertness or activity.Must be willing to work 1st Shift, Monday - Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. and frequent overtime and rotating weekends, as needed. 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 

High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution2+ years of forklift experience (sit-down / stand-up) 2+ years of warehouse experience1+ years of experience leading, supervising or mentoring teams 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Team playerBilingual: English / SpanishGood computer skills and keyboard proficiency if required.Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.

Individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc. Your Recruiter can share more details about the specific salary range for this position during the interview process.
