Job Title: Midnight Warehouse Supervisor

Job Purpose
The Warehouse Supervisor oversees daily warehouse operations within the plant, managing the storage, movement, and distribution of materials critical to the assembly process. This role ensures all warehouse activities are performed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company policies, quality standards, and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, and distribution of automotive parts and materials. Ensure accurate and timely delivery of components to production lines to meet schedules. Manage inventory processes including stock rotation, cycle counts, material tracking, and discrepancy resolution. Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages and excess stock. Prepare and review inventory reports to support decision-making. Utilize SAP and barcode scanning systems to track materials and maintain accurate records. Lead, train, and mentor warehouse staff including forklift operators and material handlers. Develop schedules and ensure appropriate staffing levels to meet production demands. Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and manufacturing regulations. Conduct safety inspections and audits and enforce proper PPE use and safe equipment operation. Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives, including 5S and process improvement activities. Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions to improve performance and productivity. Oversee maintenance of warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, docks, doors, and conveyors. Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization to company standards. Partner with Planners to resolve inventory discrepancies and material flow issues. Address employee concerns professionally and escalate matters when necessary.

Core Competencies
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong leadership and team development skills along with solid knowledge of inventory management and warehouse operations. A strong safety-focused mindset and regulatory compliance awareness are essential. Experience with SAP and warehouse management systems is required. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement practices is important. The role requires strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, effective communication and conflict resolution skills, excellent organizational and time-management skills, and the ability to perform in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.

Qualifications
A post-secondary diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred. The candidate should have three to five years of warehouse experience, including one to two years in a supervisory role. Experience in a manufacturing or automotive unionized environment is preferred. Experience with SAP and warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks is an asset. Proficiency in SAP and MS Office including Excel and Word is required. Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential.

Working Conditions
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week with potential overtime based on production needs. Flexibility is required, including the ability to work swing shifts and weekends as needed. The role operates in a fast-paced production environment with exposure to noise and manufacturing conditions. The position requires the ability to lift up to 25 kg and the ability to sit and stand for extended periods.
