Job DescriptionPosition Purpose:
Responsible for implementing systems and processes for the management of spare parts inventory. Trains and mentors staff to receive, inspect, store, issue, and document materials as required. Responsible for maintaining an accurate inventory of parts and have good organizational skills.
Primary Duties /Responsibilities:
Maintain a clean and safe working environment in the warehouse and related work areasGenerate daily reorder reports, monitors inventory levels, and adjusts inventory min/max accordinglyReceive incoming shipments in both the Coupa purchasing system and the MP2 inventory systemEnsure accuracy of shipments and inventory transactionsForward documents to the appropriate area or person for materials that have SDSs or certificationsGenerate material receiving reports and monthly reports for the accounts payable department.Maintain filing system for completed material receiving reports and packing slips for 12 years completes a warehouse inventory audit two times per yearMaintain inventory by conducting monthly physical counts and reconciling variancesUpdate and maintain all MP2 inventory master and data filesIdentify inventory problem areas and communicates them up and through the organization using appropriate means of communicationAdministratively addresses damaged goods and / or short ordersCommunicate with departments to ensure adequate materials and supplies are on hand to fulfill their needs for a turnaround, new equipment, or unit expansion projectsEnsure all materials can be obtained in a timely manner and ensures adequate space is made available in the warehouse for storagePrepare items for shipment to customers, other sites, repair facilities, or for return to vendorsOther duties as assigned.QualificationsEducation / Experience / Background:
High school or GED equivalent requiredBS degree in logistics, supply chain management, or business administration preferred5 years of experience in one or more of the following areas required: warehouse, accounting, procurement, maintenance, and/or chemical plant5 years supervisory experience working in a warehouse with material handling and inventory control highly preferredExperience in computer based purchasing and inventory requiredExperience working in an industrial manufacturing / processing environment preferredKnowledge / Skills / Abilities:
Provide thorough, efficient, and effective customer service to individuals at all levels within the organizationProficiency with SAP, internet, email, and Microsoft programsWorking knowledge of materials in various industrial commodities (i.e. electrical, instrumentation, rotating and fixed equipment, etc.)Knowledgeable about OSHA PSM, especially the Management of Change, and QA/QC programsStrong written and oral communication skillsAbility to work in a fast paced environmentStrong attention to detailRequired Certification / Licenses / Training:
