Position Summary: This role involves leading and motivating a team, coordinating daily tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring that all processes are completed safely, accurately, and on time. You will plan and manage a team of Warehouse Operatives on a daily basis to achieve daily workload. Ensure audit readiness is maintained in the Warehouse at all times, including compliance to all legislation appertaining to Health & Safety, Employment Law, Food Safety and company hygiene standards. Make sure Team Leaders are briefed and fully aware of what is required on a daily basis for their assigned area. Cover the Shift Managers holiday and absences.
Our Darlington DC will be ready to go live in Q4 and we are now looking for Warehouse Supervisors to join our new team, supporting the Warehouse function to ensure operational excellence within the DC.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage the daily tasks a team to ensure the Warehouse achieves against planned targets and all relevant KPI’sManage and understand the WMS systemKnowledge and understanding of Shift Manager role and what is required to cover in their absenceMHE – Maintaining and changing of batteriesLoading – Freezer/Chill/Dry- Loaded correctly and on timeQIP – Making sure that the shift follow QIP guidelines and that daily paperwork complete. Raising product issues with the Quality managerTo work efficiently and effectively as part of a teamTo ensure all cages picked and loaded meet MBUK standardsTo manage the work area to ensure clean and tidy at all timesTo maintain high levels of Health and Safety standardsTo achieve the targets and job standards set out by managementTo be adaptable and flexible in your approach to workTo perform any reasonable request from ManagementTo work in a multi-temperature food storage environment.Qualifications

Previous management experience in a similar FMCG operationPrevious experience of MS computer packages to intermediate levelGood performance management skillsPrevious experience with conducting interviewsExperience of managing within a union environment – DesirableFormal management skills, experience of employment law, and HR processes - Desirable
