Job Title: Shift Lead
Location: Onsite in Atlanta, GA 30336
Job Type: 3 month contract to hire
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6am-2:30pm
Interview Process: 1 and done onsite
Insight Global is seeking a Shift Lead to support operations at our clients facility in Atlanta, GA, which processes and stores paper products for the recycling industry. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Position Overview
As a Shift Lead, you will oversee daily operations during your designated shift, supervise a small team, and ensure production quality and efficiency. Youll be responsible for delegating tasks, maintaining equipment operability, and reporting issues to management. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead by example in a hands-on role to drive productivity
- Supervise and assign duties to a team of 2 employees
- Monitor team performance and ensure tasks are completed efficiently
- Report operational issues to management promptly
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards
- Oversee preventive maintenance (PM) checks
- Operate powered industrial trucks (e.g., forklifts) to move materials
- Understand and execute the daily production schedule
- Perform visual inspections to ensure product quality
- Troubleshoot equipment and escalate issues as needed
- Assist with material movement and forklift operations when necessary
- Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
