Warehouse and Security Manager
Contracted Hours - 40
Contracted Days - Monday to Friday
Based - 648 River Gardens, Feltham, TW14 0RB, England
Salary - £55,000
The warehouse and security manager role is a critical position within the Marken Feltham operation. It has direct management responsibility to always ensure the secure and compliant operation of the warehouse.
This includes training and development of all staff crucial to ensure the integrity, compliance and safety of all shipments and packaging departing and arriving through the Marken Feltham facility.
In addition to the warehouse operation this position will ensure compliance with CAA and UPS security regulations, guaranteeing the facility meets its security obligations to its staff, customers and shareholders and the legislation as defined by DFT as a CAA approved regulated agent.
Main duties
Responsible for the warehouse associates, supervisors and screeners including but not limited to: time keeping, absence management, performance reviews, hiring, onboarding, training, developing and management.
Ensure staff and warehouse are operating within compliance of Marken and UPS policies, SOPS and standards, CAA regulationss, GDP standards and client standards.
Management of operations key performance indicators for Maestro, Quality, Asset Panda and more.
Ensuring housekeeping standards are maintained including cleaning of temperature controlled environments, general warehouse cleaning and tidying, emptying of bins, wiping down benches by a combination of installation of daily accountability boards in the warehouse.
Regular recorded QC checks of all relevant areas and the development and management of the warehouse supervisors to confirm they are delivering at the correct standard.
Adhering to Marken and HSE safety regulations including reporting of near misses and incidents, wearing of personal protective equipement and supporting local risk assessments.
Inventory stock control and management: Enhance and enforce proactive monitoring and ordering of all Marken stock items to ensure sufficient supplies are held within the facility at all times. Promote full and accurate use of Asset Panda and other in house with consistent structured use and regular updates.
Responding to internal customers (Client Services, Imports, Exports, Transport etc) communication via email or phone in a timely manner providing all the required information and support.
Work with supervisors on their reports to continously review and improve the quality and responsiveness of emails into the warehouse inboxes.
Working with procurement to complete regular assessment of all suppliers / peripheral supplies used in the warehouse.
Maintain and develop relationships with all suppliers with regards to the production of dry ice and LN2 within the facility to ensure uninterrupted service.
Thorough training and regular checks guarantee that any dispatching of drivers from the warehouse is correct by ensuring driver receives the correct HAWBS, correct number of pieces, all packaging departing warehouse has been departed in Maestro, Asset whilst adhering.
Conduct quality investigations and own CAPAs.
Regular QC checks relating to the retention of CAA regulated agents status.
Act as primary lead for aviation and general security for the London facility. This will include taking the lead on audits, maintaining audit trails and records, conducting spot checks, conducting regular internal security audits.
Host monthly security meetings for the UK.
A candidate with a good UK geography, previously held a position of a CAA security manager and held IATA DG regulations by air qualifications and ADR qualifications.
Able to use hand pump trucks, move pallets around the building and handle boxes.
Able to work within refrigerated and frozen environments.
Computer literate with basic use of outlook, emails etc.
Able to operate forklift trucks upon completion of training.
