Warehouse Procurement Manager, AWS Cloud Logistics

AWS Infrastructure is looking for a talented, driven, and highly analytical, Contract Logistics Procurement Manager with a hunger for driving change and impact at a global scale to join AWS Infrastructure Supply Chain (AIS) team. The successful candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills, and a passion for using data to drive business decisions. You are analytical and creative, and you don’t quit until you solve the problem. You thrive by providing data-driven decision support and business intelligence that is timely, accurate, and actionable. Key job responsibilities - Lead sourcing, procurement, and contract operations for global contract logistics and warehousing services. - Establish annual financial plans and create operating rhythms to measure execution vs established targets. - Build and manage operating rhythms to simplify and automate business processes to ensure compliance with agreed terms and reduce procurement lead times. - Draft contractual requirements in cooperation with business partners which encourage continued customer focus deliver reduced service costs. - Manage supplier relationships including contractual negotiations, service performance, capability development. - Dive deep to uncover areas of opportunity, present written business recommendations, and lead global projects which deliver reduced service costs. - Recommend, develop, and implement policies that guide the organization in accurately estimating service cost and delivering annual profit and loss (P&L). - Develop new business relationships and competencies. - Partner with supply and operations teams to develop capacity models, guide network strategy, and inform capital investment decisions. - Own Controllership activities including invoice auditing to identify discrepancies. - Partner with business partners to draft, maintain, and standardize contractual requirements. - Design exception-based reporting highlighting and analyzing outliers. - Lead weekly discussions reporting on financial performance to plan and areas of improvement. - Manage and support finance and accounting activities globally with multiple currencies. Basic Qualifications - 6+ years of program, project or product management, or leading product implementation experience - 6+ years of related industry experience - 8+ years of data analysis using tools such as Excel, Pivot Tables, SQL, Tableau, or equivalent experience - Experience in high-volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environments - Experience with Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma methodologies - Experience in global supply chain management, managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced consumer electronics product company - Experience in program, project or product management, or leading product implementation Preferred Qualifications - Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field - Experience in data centers, infrastructure service providers, or related technology companies - Experience in negotiations with global suppliers with a proven track record in cost reduction - Experience in procurement practices working with engineering, supply chain and Tier 1 OEM partners - Experience practicing best-in-class procurement processes (category management, benchmarking, should-cost models, RFX, reverse auction, contracting, or equivalent) - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field - 8+ years of high volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environments experience Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
