Job Overview:A Logistics Specialist is responsible for assisting in receiving, organizing, storing, of products within the warehouse.
Responsibilities:Assist in storing and packing of goods and materials following appropriate procedures and regulations;Aid in the preparation and receipt of appropriate documentation, including liaison with suppliers;Allocate and retrieve goods from specific warehouse areas;Participate in periodic stock checks;Check loads for damaged or missing items upon receiptAssist stock takes and other inventory initiativesMove and rearrange stock, either by hand or with appropriate equipment providedMaintain accurate inventory records of products received and dispatchedMaintain cleanliness of the site and ensure that goods don’t get damagedSkills and Experience:Able to understand basic instructions and work from procedures.Able to work in a team environment under limited supervision.Responsible for quality of their own work.Possesses sound interpersonal and communication skills.Proficiency in operating various loading equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacksIntermediate level of word and excelBasic level of numeracy, verbal and literacy skillsPhysical stamina
