Pay Rate: £25, 670 (23, 809 basic + £1780 shift allowance ) - Also potential to earn annual bonus of £1300.
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: Day shift - 8 hours per day between the hours of 0600 hours - 1800 (Monday to Friday)

(Please note: This role has an out of hours \"on call rota\" - one week in every four. An extra payment of £150 is paid for each week you are on call, plus additional payments made if you are called out to site.)

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking an experienced Warehouse Operative to play a vital role coordinating our daily warehouse and distribution requirements.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

\n

As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will:

\n

Undertake the manual handling, distribution and monitoring of materials in a bulk storage and warehouse environment.

\n

Be responsible for picking and packing specified items from storage and prepare them for shipment.

\n

Stock Counts (Perpetual Inventory - PI),

\n

General Housekeeping and occasional overtime to cover absence & holidays

\n

\n

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

\n\n\n\nPrevious practical experience as a Warehouse Operative, within a logistics environment or similar role and be familiar with all Manual Handling Procedures \nCounterbalance Fork Lift Truck experience is ESSENTIAL for this role.\nPrevious experience of the preparation and distribution of volume orders\nExcellent organisational skills with the ability to manage your own workload\nReach truck experience preferred but but not essential\nManual Handling Equipment experience (MHE)\nBasic computer skills\nFull driving license (ESSENTIAL)\n\n\n\n
