In conjunction with the Director of Supply Chain, support the sourcing and
development of a green field warehouse
• Coordinate the development and implementation of automation
mechanisms to maintain a world class warehouse,, in conjunction with the
Director of Supply Chain.
• Manage end-to-end warehouse operations (receiving, storage, picking,
packing, shipping)
• Ensure inventory accuracy and system integrity
• Monitor and report KPIs
• Ensure timely shipment closure and invoicing
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams
• Investigate operational issues and implement corrective actions
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure EHS and 5S compliance
• Support audit readiness
• Plan workforce and staffing
• Approve overtime and scheduling
• Maintain SOPs
• Support digital transformation initiatives
• Perform other duties as assigned

Specific Responsibilities Include:

 

Establishes operational procedures for verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of merchandise and warehouse inventory.Inspects physical condition of warehouse and equipment and ensures maintenance, sufficiency and adequacy as business dictates.Communicates with various department management to ensure coordination of warehouse activities with other functions such as Production, Quality, Sales, and Purchasing.Communicates with other management personnel in formulating administrative and operational policies and procedures.Ensures staff are trained in areas of the operation to ensure maximum efficiency in each area.Investigates and determines root causes of any errors in warehouse activities. (e.g. shipping errors, Inventory, etc.)Reviews and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.Maintains Warehouse data records on process capacity, actual activity and employee productivity.Provide guidance and oversee accuracy and operational efficiencies in all area of the shipping and receiving processes. Assist with the development and implementation of import and export compliance procedures.Insures staff is adequately trained and engaged in all Environmental, Health & Safety and Human Performance programs as they relate to warehouse activities.Participates in the planning of personal safety and plant protection activities.Leads any incident investigation involving Warehouse Staff.Insures enough resources are maintained and allocated to meet daily and monthly targets.Continually work to improve warehouse processes by improving layout, adding technology, material handling, visual management, or other means to achieve improvement.Coordinates and approves time keeping and scheduling overtime for the department.Create and maintain documented procedures of Warehouse processes.Responsible for Employee Development and internal career growth for Warehouse employees.Performs other related duties/responsibilities as assigned or requested.

 

 

 

Supervisory Responsibilities                                  

 

Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Warehouse. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
