The Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with company policies and procedures. This role requires a dynamic individual capable of leading a team, managing schedules, and handling various operational tasks to maintain smooth warehouse functions

Most critical part of the job responsibilities; requires most of the employee’s time and effort:

Take directions from Operations Manager and create the daily/weekly production schedule.Direct, lead and hold accountable the warehouse team for daily tasks/responsibilities.Manage daily/weekly workload with balanced staff.Supplement staff in receiving and order processing as needed.Train new onboarding personnel.Manage calibration records for all inspection equipment.Notify purchasing of non-conformances and work with them on returns.Assist division in preparation for audit.Performs and oversee specific projects and programs assigned.Participates in Safety and Quality training and meetings.Ensure personnel have completed training in QT9.Manage weekly/monthly checklist.Control of Hazmat and necessary pick-up coordination.Notify Operations Manager for scrap pick up coordination.Participates in cycle counts.

WORK EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

5–7 year’s experience in warehouse.Minimum of a high school diploma; Associate degree or higher preferred.Prior quality experience is a plus.Experience in metal service industry is strongly preferred.Excellent verbal and written communication.Detail oriented and works with high degree of accuracy.Must have strong organizational and time management skills.Must be proficient with computers, including email and MS Office.

Ability to operate forklift.Basic Microsoft Office and computer skillsCommunicationOrganizational and Detail orientedMath SkillsAbility to read a ruler, measuring tape, caliper, and micrometer.Ability to read material specifications.
