Job Summary
The Warehouse Inventory Associate is an hourly role responsible for assisting with warehouse operations, including material handling, inventory control, receiving, and shipping activities. This position ensures the accurate and efficient movement of materials to support production and operational needs. The Warehouse Inventory Associate plays a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, organizing warehouse spaces, and adhering to safety and compliance standards.
Reporting to the Production Coordinator, this role requires strong attention to detail, effective time management, and the ability to collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth operations within the facility.
Key ResponsibilitiesMaterial Handling & Inventory Management:Receive, label, and restack incoming materials, ensuring all items meet quality standards.Conduct regular cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory levels.Organize and maintain the warehouse to ensure efficient space utilization and accessibility.Assist in managing the supply closet and ensure it is stocked and organized.Shipping & Receiving:Schedule and coordinate shipments to ensure timely delivery and adherence to requirements.Prepare outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and documentation.Ensure proper handling of hazardous materials and compliance with DOT HAZMAT regulations.Equipment Operation:Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move and organize materials.Perform routine equipment checks to ensure proper functionality.Support Production & Procurement:Assist the Production Coordinator in fulfilling material requests for production needs.Monitor supply levels and report shortages to the Production Coordinator.Compliance & Safety:Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.Ensure accurate documentation of inventory, receiving, and shipping activities.Support waste management activities, including hazardous waste shipments, as required.Other duties as necessaryQualifications
Education:Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent.Preferred: Coursework or certification in logistics, supply chain, warehouse operations, or a related field.Experience:1-2 years of experience in warehouse operations, material handling, or a similar role.Forklift operation experience required; certification preferred.Experience in GMP manufacturing environments is desirable but not required.Skills:Communication: Ability to read, write, and follow instructions effectively.Attention to Detail: Ability to ensure accuracy in inventory counts and shipment preparation.Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Dependability: Punctuality and reliability are essential.Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to 50 lbs.) and perform tasks requiring physical effort.Key Contacts
