Warehouse Coordinator

Our 114,000 colleagues serve people in more than 160 countries. **The Opportunity** The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for all distribution activities associated with the shipment of Diagnostic Division reagents and accessories to customers, affiliates and research facilities. Some of these items do not have a assigned commodity number in the inventory management system known as AMM or in the Distribution Floor Control system. For this reason these items must be shipped outside the Distribution Floor Control system using a manual process. The dock warehouse coordinator oversees this process and ensures materials are properly shipped as per all transportation regulations. In addition, the Warehouse Coordinator processes inventory and prepares for ocean transport or return to vendor. **What You'll Do** + Receive material from initiators. + Review paperwork and ensures shipping authorization form has been signed by the Director of Quality. + Ensures all consent decree material has been properly labeled. + Packages material per packing instruction, packaging bill of material and ensures proper labeling. + Arranges for transportation of packages with freight forwarders and logistics transship coordinators. + Alerts supervisor to any issues needing management attention. + Performs inventory transactions to ensure all material is properly accounted for. + Follows up with inventory control or planning to resolve issues + Prepares commodities for ocean shipment. + Unloads incoming freight from affiliates. + Support customer service level for shipment of materials. + Delays would result in downtime. + Responsible for complying with hazardous materials shipping regulations ( DOT, IATA, FDA, GMP, CAPA). Failure to complywould result in fines or shut down of the operation. + Must ensure all documentation to ship material under the FDA Consent Decree contains the proper signatures and that thismaterial is properly labeled. **Required Qualifications** + Highschool Diploma or GED or an equivalent amount of work experience + Individual must be able to read and understand English, perform basic math calculations. + Must have good verbal communication + Must have knowledge of Distribution operations, IATA and DOT regulations, and inventory transaction system (AMM) + Must be able to work under pressure + Must be able to prioritize and coordinate shipping activities + Must have good communication skills **What We offer** At Abbott, you can have a good job that can grow into a great career.
