Your daily tasks will include: + Assisting with **shipping and receiving activities** , such as unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders, and distributing orders for processing. + Reading customer orders, work orders, and requisitions to **determine items for movement, gathering, distribution, or shipment** . + Ensuring the **warehouse is always accessible and safe** for all traffic. + Completing all work in a **safe manner** , adhering strictly to all safety policies and procedures. + **Assembling products and participating in inventory counts** as needed. + Taking **check calls from drivers** to ensure on-time deliveries and validating all load data for accounting purposes. + **Monitoring daily pick-ups and deliveries** , verifying that loads arrive on time and in good condition. **What You'll Need to Excel:** + Basic written and verbal communication skills. + Basic computer skills. + **Availability to work a variety of shifts** , including days, evenings, nights, and weekends, as freight volumes can vary. + The ability to apply critical thinking to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form. + **Physical Capability:** You must be able to **lift, push, or pull at least 75 pounds** and proficiently **load and unload trucks** . **It'd Be Great If You Also Have:** + Dock or warehouse experience in the transportation industry. + Experience loading and unloading trailers. + Experience using handheld scanners.
