Job DescriptionReceive goods and check freight for correct quantity, quality and possible damagesPicking, checking and loading pallets for outgoing freightLoading and unloading of trucks by use of a forkliftCreate OSD reports and ensure correct completionChecking cargo manifests Perform double checks on the freight, ULDs , references & AWB numbersPerform Dangerous Goods and/or Lithium checks (if in possession of IATA DG Certificate);Various physical tasks, such as building and breaking down of ULDsAdhere to security and compliance rules as set up by ExpeditorsEnsure a safe work environmentMeet KPI standards in accordance with the Company’s procedureMaintain a clean work environment, all transport systems, storage areas, work placesMeet compliance at all times to regulations internal and external in accordance with government regulationsEscalation of problems to management when necessaryContinuously and effectively interact with various agents: cargo, airline, Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Customs/Border Protection (CBP), giving instructions and responding to inquiries in a reasonable tone and mannerKnow and understand employee responsibility in Expeditors’ contingency planDemonstrate diligence required to maintain security under the Airport Police, Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and United States Customs/Border Protection (USCBP) RegulationsApproach any and all persons not displaying an Expeditors I.D. badge within an Expeditors warehouse or any Designated Screening Area (DSA) and implement security measuresWork Schedule:- Swing Shift, Monday - Friday 2:00 PM - 10:30PM or 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM or 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM, depending on customer need
Qualifications
Physical Demands/Working Environment:
Lift and carry freight weighing up to 75 lbs using proper techniquesMovements including but not limited to bending, reaching, stooping, squatting, standing, crouching and walking using proper techniquesTolerate moderate to loud level of noise in work environmentMay be required to work in cold storage areasStand and remain standing for periods up to 3 hours without sittingMay be required to work all of the following: irregular hours and/or shifts, including split-shifts; holidays and weekends; overtime; and extended hours.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (Desired):
