The Vice President of Strategic Sourcing will define, drive, and deliver strategies to promote sustainable, diverse sourcing practices and continuous improvement within Disney Experiences (DX). This global role is responsible for influencing a combination of lines of business to ensure the successful realization of company objectives. Foundational to the Vice President’s success is the ability to provide inspirational leadership to a diverse cast base by motivating others toward success and driving engagement at all levels of the organization. The ideal candidate has strong mastery and demonstration of our Five Keys (Safety, Courtesy, Inclusion, Show and Efficiency), a growth mindset for continuous learning and flexibility to quickly adapt to evolving priorities. This role will report to the Senior Vice President, Worldwide Safety, Health, Engineering & Sourcing.
Responsibilities
Directly leads the Disneyland, Walt Disney World, Disney Cruise Line, and Walt Disney Imagineering Strategic Sourcing teams. Categories include Design and Construction, Facility Services, Maintenance, Repair, and Operations, Food and Beverage, Print and Marketing, Hospitality, Cruise Line, Sustainability, Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment.Sets the global strategy for DX Strategic Sourcing teams, including international parks, focused on leveraging volume and supplier relationships to drive down cost, increase labor efficiency, and ensure a consistent business practice with DX. Provides guidance and standards while facilitating best practice and knowledge sharing across all sites globally.Shows inspirational leadership by setting the vision, displaying realistic optimism, and creating a culture that engages the cast and enables them to drive business results.Facilitates an inclusive culture that values diversity of thought and exhibits trust, collaboration, empowerment and inclusion.Identifies threats and opportunities by maintaining a broad view of the internal and external environment, incidents, trends and constant analysis of the industry. Minimum of 10+ years progressive leadership experience including executive leadershipMinimum of 10+ years experience leading sourcing teams ideally managing diverse categories such as Food and Beverage, Cruise Line, and Construction.Ability to demonstrate Inspirational Leadership to a broad, diverse group of cast both internal and external to the strategic sourcing organization.Flexibility and willingness to travel to locations worldwide when business needs arise and to sustain positive reporting and partner relationships.A visionary and passionate leader that prioritizes the development of talent and building a high-performance, diverse and inclusive culture.Strong business acumen with ability to understand financial implications to decisions, manage complex budgets and direct long term capital planning to critical sourcing initiatives.Proven leader who can set overarching strategy and implement and integrate effectively to drive sustainable results.Comfortable working in a high volume, fast-paced environment and balancing competing priorities.Proven track record of strong creative sensibilities, business acumen, and strategic thinking skills.Proven track record of comprehensive problem solving, analytical and risk assessment skills.Demonstrated ability to build and foster relationships with cross functional partners, lead in a collaborative style as well as communicate in an engaging, influential and impactful manner.Strong influencing skills and ability to adapt approach and demeanor in real time to match shifting demands.Cultural competence and comfort to diplomatically navigate and influence business relationships globally.Required Education
