BASIC FUNCTION:

Crane Pumps & Systems (CP&S) is a rapidly growing leader and innovator in the supply of pumps that are critical to removing and treating wastewater for the protection of human and environmental health.   

CP&S operates two world-class manufacturing facilities in Piqua, OH, including extensive capabilities in machining, assembly, and new product launches. Vice President of Operations reports to the President and has direct responsibilities for all operational functions, including supply chain, manufacturing, EH&S, and Quality. In addition, the VP of Operations leads CP&S’s continuous improvement activities by leveraging the powerful Crane Business System.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Collaborates with the functional leadership team in the development of CP&S’s growth strategies and translates that into operational goals and objectives for each site.  Establish key measurements and develop/implement plans to achieve targets.Provide oversight, development, and leadership for an operations organization of approximately 175 salaried and hourly associates.Leveraging the Crane Business System, champion CP&S’s deep continuous improvement culture to deliver breakthrough operational and commercial improvement.   Lead CP&S’s quality organization and the execution of our well-established ISO 9001-2015 Certified quality management system and integration of IATF 16949 standards in operations.Utilize strategic sourcing processes to develop a high-performing supply chain, with a focus on optimizing quality, cost, and delivery.Drives safety culture and ensures compliance with company policies and federal, state, and local laws and regulations.Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

Minimum of seven years of operational leadership experience, preferably in businesses that manufacture highly engineered industrial products. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or another related course of study is highly preferred.Demonstrated ability to effectively develop and lead a team of individuals within a manufacturing/distribution environment.Demonstrates unimpeachable ethics.Demonstrated experience deploying lean manufacturing tools to achieve breakthrough results.Technical expertise in functional areas including materials management and ERP, in addition to hands-on knowledge of Systems Controls (TQM), ISO9001, and TS16949 Core Tools.Ability to oversee multi-site operations and deliver consistent results which meet business unit plans
